Use Cases: The BA's Best Friend? (September Meetup)

Join us at PNSQC's September meetup. Karl Wiegers will host a conversation about one of the most effective requirements practices for any software project. He is calling it "Use cases: The business analyst's best friend?"

Someone recently asked Karl, "Is it okay to apply use cases on an agile project?"  The fact that they had to ask the question could be considered a sad commentary on how agile has influenced the software development world.

This is not a formal presentation, but a discussion on the topic of what Karl calls "the most important lesson I've learned about software development in 53 years: Understand what users need to do with the solution."

You may recognize Karl's name as the co-author of the Microsoft Press book "Software Requirements."  He has a new book "Software Requirements Essentials," a concise, focused, and highly readable book that describes 20 requirements practices that every software team should perform.  This is your chance to have a conversation with someone who has spent their career thinking about improving requirements.

Additionally, Karl Wiegers will be a keynote speaker and workshop presenter at the  41st PNSQC, October 2023.

This will be a hybrid meetup - both in person in Portland and on zoom.  PNSQC will provide some drinks and food for those who can attend in person.
