May Meetup: Data Portals for Analytics & Decision Support
5/25/2022
11:45 AM - 2:00 PM

Event Description

This is the third in a series of three seminars in which NIC / Tyler presenters discuss contemporary topics of software quality. After the previous meetups on accessibility and microservices, we are examining the role of data portals in the new generation of software applications, analytics, and data-driven decision making.

We will discuss use cases at notable states and cities that emphasize public and private data portals, scaling to large data sets, and public-private partnerships (including apps development by third-parties that leverages public data assets). This month's seminar should be of interest to a broad range of audience -- from business to IT, analysts to managers, and developers to testers.

Wesley Hill has worked in both the public and private sectors; spending 10+ year in the IT department at the County of Marin, consulting, and now working with Tyler Technologies Data & Insights. Wesley’s role as a Solutions Engineer puts him at the forefront of understanding and designing around the needs of customers, the market, and in a prime role for collaborating with Support, Product, Engineering to shape future customer experiences.

This is a hybrid event – available via Zoom or the physical venue hosted at Reed Opera Ballroom in Salem, Oregon. You will be prompted to select virtual or in-person during registration.

The meetup is organized in conjunction with the State of Oregon E-Government Program and sponsored by NIC / Tyler Technologies.
